About the Company

Our Client is the Software Development and Digital Innovation Center which is a part of a large Group of Companies. It has a stand alone, multi-country operation head quartered in Colombo Sri Lanka, Client will serve the software and digital innovation needs of the parent Group numbering over several entities in South and South East Asia spanning the domains of Converged Telecommunications and Digital Services.

Job Description :

  • Serve as visionary leader and strategy driver for the company - Roadmap, R&D, Sales & Marketing, Finance

Job Responsibilities :

  • Development of annual business plan and financials
  • Product strategy development and execution for core products
  • Work with operating company’s business and technology leaders and development teams to help deliver solutions in each country
  • Understands how all elements of the software lifecycle work together and develop quality engineering approaches that fit the overall group strategy/IT architecture
  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight for scaling and operation of: Delivery operations, SW R&D, Dev Ops and Account management/sales functions
  • Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments
  • Management of departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining a best-in-class engineering team
  • Successful delivery of projects across Group’sSubsidiaries – number of projects ranging from 30-40 projects at the same time
  • Building an effective Support/DevOps division to cover products/solutions delivered by the company
  • Setting up satellites offices in the region and operational within 1st year
  • Financial management of the Centre together with the Head of Finance

 

Qualifications :

  • At least a degree/ Master degree (in related the area of software engineering) or MBA preferred. (or related technical discipline)

Pre-requisites :

  • 5+ years of people management experience leading 100+ strong SW
  • Must come from R & D and software background with previous experience in leading large R&D teams
  • Familiar with the technical and operation aspect of Software R&D environment with at least 15 years of related experience
  • Strong financial and business acumen experience
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills
  • Professional Accreditations: Obtained relevant professional accreditations
