  • To support the organization in co-ordinating, supervising and monitoring marketing and
    merchandising activities of the companies.
  • Capacity booking, meeting targets/business negotiation, New customer identification & product
    development and costing.
  • Develop and execute annual business plans for the factory.
  • Convert business plan into monthly deliverables for the purpose of implementation.
  • Execute the following sub-processes: Buyer Account Planning and Account Management.
  • Direct, guide & monitor production staff on a daily basis from cutting through to finishing to
    ensure targets are achieved & quality is met. This includes ensuring all technical specifications,
    production requirements & delivery dates are met.
  • Ensure all executives follow the company’s internal system diligently.
  • Achievement of KPIs: Units, revenue, margins, % returns, market share and of assigned accounts.
  • Key Account Plan(s) that clearly spell out the agreed key actions and service offer to deliver the
    revenue.
  • Submit management reports on accounts performance.
  • Influence exports plan of the company align with strategy of focussing revenues from sales and
    other identified strategic product categories work with the buyers and merchants closely for the
    same.
  • Supervision of marketing, merchandising, product development and sampling activities: The jobholder
    needs to interact with members from production departments and buyers. For example provide
    solutions to merchandise related issues in conjunction with QA staff, co-ordinate with Stores to
    resolve shortage in production material and with production with regards to delivery dates.
  • Direction received: The role is fairly autonomous except for instructions received from Director and
    the order details received from General Manager - Operations.
  • The jobholder needs to make decisions and be responsible for them. Hence, he needs to weigh up options
    logically before making recommendations of solutions to problems. He should be in complete control of
    a situation at any given time for the factory. He should be able to manage and motivate his staff positively.

 
  • Must be an MBA with around 12-15 yrs experience in apparel business.
  • Currently managing Key accounts as Business Head since last 3-4 yrs.
  • High levels of energy.
  • Should be open to extensive travel.
  • Should have good network with retailers, business houses.
  • Appreciation of consumer insights and ability to look beyond the obvious.
  • Knowledge of apparel manufacturing techniques, systems and equipment, technical skills, production
    planning compliance and computers is essential.
  • PC skills are essential – specifically Excel, Word and E-mail.
  • Excellent oral and verbal communication skills.
