  • Primary job role is the management of product quality in accordance with the pre-defined customer standards.
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality standards of the customer and will strive for customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the T&A’s and FMIS in conjunction with the Merchandisers and will manage the operations in a cost effective manner.
  • Ensure compliance of all pre-defined quality standards and will monitor buyer standards and requirements on a regular basis.
  • Communicate with internal teams such as Senior Merchandisers & Product development Executives and with Multi disciplinary external teams such as Customers, Factories, Members of Sample Rooms and Production.
 
  • Should possess an academic/professional qualification in Garment Technology, whilst a qualification in Textile or Fabric Technology would be desirable.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in Quality Assurance, Technical and or Production in the garment industry in a similar capacity.
  • Ability to understand fabric, trims, garments with various finishes and quality assurance practices.
  • Knowledge in constructions, especially in ladies/men’s wear and will be familiar with sampling, patterns, garment constructions and safety procedures.
  • Effective communication and possess interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Display effective time management and skill prioritization capabilities and will be able to effectively work under pressurised circumstances.
  • Computer literate.
  • Dynamic, proactive, assertive, and independent and forward thinking. You will have negotiation competencies and be a team player.
