The Company provides a variety of products and services, ranged from platform and business applications for enterprise to video game consoles, interactive television, and Internet access for consumers.

  • The Business Development Manager is responsible for growing  the organizations Desktop, Server and Services revenue across a portfolio of Enterprise and Government accounts; building strong business relationships that result in customer and partner satisfaction and loyalty; The role adds value to Organization by delivering a well-managed business of customer accounts that meets or exceeds revenue targets. 

  • Maximizes all license revenue within nominated accounts;
  • Leverages resources across the organization to engage the customer in strategic activities contributing to their and Organization’s business success;
  • Develops regular forecasts and is accountable for pipeline management
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining regular dialogue with senior executives, senior management and key influencers of key accounts, agencies and partners. 
  • Develops account and relationships to be references.
  • Ensures Organization technologies are appropriately deployed in line with customer expectations;
  • Manages customer, partner and influencer relationships and ensures ongoing improvements to customer satisfaction
  • Builds and executes upon business plans for key customers and the assigned territory; Understands partners, influencers and competitors strategies and plans accordingly;
  • Maintains account profiles;
  • Develops and implements plans to position Organization the key technology platforms for the next 1-3 years
  • Drives success within industry team, sales, services and marketing via quality contribution, planning, knowledge sharing, leadership and personal network
  • Recruit, manage sales and relationship and develop capabilities within Organization partners
  • Support the partner sales force as requested on special sales calls, customer briefings & sales readiness around key Organization products.
  • Participating in partner-prospecting activities by increasing prospects and lead generation

Essential Competencies

As the BDM would be based in Maldives away from the rest of the team, there are competencies and characteristics that are essential for the role:

  • Self motivation and drive: a self starter. Given that the role is being managed remotely it is essential that the BDM be able to pursue and execute their revenue and non- revenue commitments in a timely manner
  • Accountability and responsibility – He/She should be accountable for achieving targets and commitments in a timely, professional, transparent and legal and policy compliant manner within the Organization Standards of Business Conduct.
  • Team and virtual teamwork – The BDM is part of a larger subsidiary team based in Sri Lanka and often will execute sales and other activities by coordinating with the team in Sri Lanka and region.
  • Management of multiple demands/Prioritization. Commitments, targets and actions will be deliverable to a number of different stakeholders. The candidate should be a capable of setting expectations, prioritizing and delivering on these in a timely manner.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: While Dhivehi language is not a requirement, a successful BDM is sensitive to the local culture and unique needs of the Maldives people, government and businesses.
  • Minimum 4 years experience in sales and marketing.   
  • Should have a strong knowledge of the IT sector.  
  • Good coordination, presentation and communications skills
  • Good understanding of partner recruiting or partner account management.
  • Degree in IT or Business management preferred
