  • Establish and develop a HR Operations Team that ensures alignment with the other HR functions in providing best HR practices & services to all stakeholders.
  • Establish and develop a HR Team designed to deliver an excellent level of service to internal customers and external customers
  • Put in place a best in class framework for the execution and regular review of the HR practices
  • Establish and Maintain excellent response and resolution times with respect to requests from internal customers in the SBU.
  • Ensure that the HR Team is equipped with the capacity and skill-set in line with the requirements of the SBU
  • Develop and maintain systems relevant to HRM with a view to delivering best in class services to the SBU
  • Apply continuous innovation to tasks set out with a view to deliver maximum efficiency with respect to the operations.
  • Review and enhance the services and standards offered on a continuous basis with a view to maximise the utilisation and efficiency of the HRM.
  • To be overall in charge of all HR functions of the SBU and align employees to achieve business objectives by facilitating them to achieve individual objectives through proper people management and  smooth operation in the SBU  while ensuring well being of employees and maintaining high level of motivation to ensure performance driven organization culture.
  • Be responsible and overall in charge of the management and the operations of the SBU in relation to all HR functions to ensure smooth operations of the SBU.
  • Achieve vision, mission and goals/objectives of the SBU by facilitating employees of SBU to achieve their personal goals and objectives and thereby ensure the maximum contribution of the HR division towards achieving Organizational goals and objectives.
  • To plan, design, develop and implement & execute HR policies and procedures in relation to SBU.
  • Provide and present timely, accurate and up to date information to the group and reports with regard to the management and development of the SBU’s Human Resources function.
  • Support the group HR in the implementation and auditing of HR practices; Performance Review; Culture & Employee Opinion Surveys; Consultancy, work / life balance programmes, training interventions, etc. in the SBU
  • Counsel, coach and mentor staff who encounter barriers and require support in re aligning of performance at work.
  • Preparation of HR budget for SBU.

 
  • A university degree in HRM / HRD or Diploma in HRM or equivalent
  • Preferably MBA, specialized in HRM/ HRD
  • 4-6 years experience in a reputed mercantile establishment in a managerial capacity.
