  • Develop IT strategy and long term plans to support the business strategy
  • Assist/develop Business continuity plans and Information Risk management planning, implementation of Disaster recovery plans (Desirable if the candidate has experience in strategic information systems management & takes advantage of business opportunities – Entrepreneurial)
  • Analyze information requirements across the value chain, direct & focus IT resources to ensure the delivery of solutions
  • Maximize return on investment on all IT assets
  • Manage large scale IT & business systems implementations
  • Define & review standards for IT infrastructure & business systems and ensure compliance with standardization guidelines for all IT services
  • Develop & track IT projects & operational budgets, present performance reports to CEO/Board
    Continuous evaluation of the performance of IT function, & ensure the presence of a highly skilled, trained & quality IT staff across the sector

Qualification

  • BSc/MSc Information Systems/ Technology (Desirable - MBA - General Management)
  • Member in recognized Professional bodies/Associations (Desirable - Operations management, Project management)

Experience

  • Senior Management level exposure - A minimum of 8-10 years in Multi-national/Regional environment in Business systems/ IT of which 2-3 yrs in Director capacity (Preferred working with multi-cultural groups)
  • Total Management level exposure of 12- 15 yrs in General management & IT functions

Knowledge

  • Information systems & technology management (Preferred Operational risk management)
  • All types of IT Hardware & storage systems, Application software/operating systems, Networking & communication/data links (Strategic planning & management is preferred)
  • General management (Preferred Plantation management / Business policy development)
  • HR development & managing teams (Financial policies, systems & process development and implementation)
  • Project management (Preferred Environment, health & safety and international quality accreditation systems)
  • Organizational structures, systems & processes (Desired Legal - labor law/practices, EHS, general industry)
  • Cost management & financial controls

Skills

  • Lead, motivate & manage the IT organization of the sector (Preferred ability to Develop strategic solutions & champion for approval & implementation)
  • Evaluate IT service partners on large scale projects & negotiate on proposals & contracts (Understand the KPI's & business drivers from an enterprise standpoint & facilitate achievement)
  • Ensures maximum utilization of resources while adhering strictly to established SOP’s
