- Provide High level legal support to commercial operations – ensure that the operational units are not legally exposed, by identifying and structuring contracts/commitments based on relevance and requirement, identify any hidden exposure
- Monitor compliance and evaluate local regulations/legislature that would have an impact on the company and its operations, covering environmental, manpower related, commercial and civil related. Keeping track of such regulations/legislature for changes and update records, & able to giude the local functional staff
- Guidance, Supervision & procuring counsel advice where necessary of proceedings on local LT and cases, handling of all legal proceedings in a favorable manner
- Experience in structuring of off-shore financial agreements, through knowledge of legal exposures on financing, structuring of covenants/encumbrances, indemnities, risk management etc
- Understand and advise the management on Local trade related legal issues and possible exposures, avenues to minimize business risk - to be able to advice the management on the exposures to different statues and legal exposures on contracts /agreements, specially on cross border agreements covering legal exposures in two or more jurisdictions

Qualification
- Attorney at Law (Commercial Law) – Preferred MBA/ MSc
- Member of Bar Association, (or relevant professional association) – Preferred IT/IS management
Experience
- Senior Management level exposure - A minimum of 5 years in Multi-national/Regional environment heading commercial/ international legal aspects (Preferred the candidate working with multi-cultural groups)
- Total Management level exposure of 8 - 10 yrs
Knowledge
- International Trade Law , International competition law (Prefer if the candidate has a thorough knowledge on environment, health & safety and international quality accreditation systems)
- International Commercial Law , Commercial Arbitration (Desired good knowledge of general business environment, industry development, knowledge of economic environment, ability to apprehend implications of macro level changes to the organization)
- Knowledge of the legal environment, processes, enacting bodies, and legal system in operating environment in order to be able to advise on multiple exposures on contracts, possible risks
- Good understanding of financing process, loan requirements, basic knowledge to understand financial instruments and concepts etc, to be able to advice on legal documentation of loan / financial instruments, financial restructuring etc
- Business knowledge, understanding of business process, organizational systems, in order to facilitate in advising on commercial / HR/employee related issues
- Human rights & Environmental law
- Information Technology law
- Corporate Finance law
- Knowledge of organizational dynamics, processes / systems related complications, culture / behavior related
